Information on processing personal data

  1. CEE PwC Member Firms (as specified here) are committed to protecting and respecting your personal information. 

  2. In this statement we refer to CEE PwC Member Firms as “PwC”, “we”, “us” or “our”, as applicable. 

  3. For the purposes of data protection laws, CEE PwC Member Firms (as stated here) are “joint controllers” of the processing of your personal information described in this statement.  This means that all stated CEE PwC Member Firms  work together to decide why and how your personal information is processed. It also means that we are jointly responsible to you under the law for that processing. Your personal data will be stored in an email marketing system operated by CEE PwC Member Firms. 

  4. If you have any questions or complaints regarding your personal data being processed by PwC, and/or the rights you possess, please contact the Data Protection Office via the email address. Your queries will be further distributed to each CEE PwC Member Firm relevant to your application or corresponding to your residency.

  • Providing information about PwC  and our range of services;

  • Identifying clients with similar needs;

  • Performing analytics such as on market trends, relationships maps or sales opportunities

  • Improving the quality of PwC services

  • Sending newsletters and informing about events organized by PwC as well as inviting to participate in them  - applies only for data subjects who gave explicit consent for receiving marketing communication via email or phone

  • Exercising legal claims

- legal basis: art. 6 sec. 1 let. f) of the GDPR - legitimate interests pursued by the PwC.

  • Monitoring and enforcing compliance with our terms and conditions for use of our website

  • Administering and managing our website, including confirming and authenticating identity and preventing unauthorized access to restricted areas, premium content or other services limited to registered users

  • Aggregating data for website analytics and improvements

  • Providing information about PwC’s business, services and events, and other information which may be of interest to you

For PwC CEE event participants

- legal basis: art. 6 sec. 1 let. f) of the GDPR - legitimate interests pursued by the PwC.

  • Disclosure of personal data to event organizer / organizers for administrative purposes (such as informing about time and place of the event) - applies only for situations when PwC’s is not an organizer of the event;

  • Direct marketing of PwC’s products and services (sending newsletters and informing about events organized by PwC) - applies only for data subjects who gave explicit consent for receiving marketing communication via email or phone;

  • Exercising legal claims.

 

For PwC CEE surveys participants - legal basis: art. 6 sec. 1 let. f) of the GDPR – legitimate interest pursued by the PwC (direct marketing of PwC’s products and services.

 

  • Conducting a survey and creating statistics on the subject of the survey on its basis.

 

6. We  collect and store the following categories of personal data which you have provided to us in contact forms,  including:

  • Name and Surname

  • Email address

  • Country, industry, company, job role, position, phone number (provided voluntarily by the data subject)

8. Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties except the following recipients:

  • Other PwC Member Firms. For details of PwC Member Firm locations, please visit the website. We may share personal data with other PwC Member Firms where necessary for administrative purposes;

  • Service providers that aren’t members of the PwC Network (“third party service providers”) to process on a PwC’s behalf. Third party service providers may include providers of IT services, including identity management, website hosting and management, data analysis, data back-up, security and storage services in so far as it refers to recruitment process;

  • Governmental or regulatory authorities, courts and law enforcement authorities or agencies as required by and/or in accordance with applicable law or regulation.

9. Your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) – third countries, based on:

  • European Commission’s adequacy decision (applies for countries, which were subject of decision);

  • Standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission.

10. Your personal data will be retained until you request its removal or after two years of your  inactivity which will be measured by opening an email and / or submitting a form.

11. In accordance with processing your personal data you have the following rights:

  • Right of access, to rectification (updating), to erasure, to restriction of processing, data portability and to object;

  • Right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. 

  • To lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority relevant to your residence.

The joint controllers have agreed a single point of contact (email address) for submitting requests to exercise a legal right in relation to personal data or an enquiry in case of questions or complaints about the handling of your personal data. Your requests/ queries will be further distributed to each CEE PwC Member Firm relevant to your application or corresponding to your residency (in case of joining our Talent Community).
