Jess Shakespeare

Jess Shakespeare, an experienced business recovery services practitioner, joined PwC in 2016 from Duff & Phelps, a global valuation and corporate finance advisory firm. As part of the advisory team serving the offshore cluster of Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Turks and Caicos, and British Virgin Islands, Jess offers innovative restructuring solutions to hedge funds, leveraging PwC’s strong network in the asset management sector.

His more than 20 years of public practice experience, focused on restructuring and insolvency, has been gained across the Caribbean, London and the US. He has assisted a variety of businesses across varying industries, with a particular focus on financial services. A Cayman Islands qualified insolvency practitioner and notary public, Jess has advised and liaised with various stakeholders on options and restructuring possibilities.

Before his tenure at Duff & Phelps, he worked for MaplesFS in their fiduciary and liquidations teams, accepting board appointments on hedge funds, managed accounts and structured finance products. Prior to that, Jess trained with another Big 4 firm and was a part of their corporate recovery practices in the Cayman Islands and London.
