Ben Henshilwood is a Director at PwC Cayman Islands with over 16 years of experience in formal insolvency and debt restructuring, working across the UK, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Hong Kong.

His experience includes an 18-month secondment at the distressed debt division of a major UK bank. Ben has been a member of the PwC Cayman Islands team for over a decade.

Throughout his career, Ben has worked on notable cases, including one of the world’s largest emerging markets private equity fund frauds, the largest failure of a cryptocurrency exchange, an award-winning debt restructure in Asia, and securing one of the largest civil fraud judgments ever obtained against individual directors globally.

He possesses extensive experience in both solvent and insolvent liquidations, as well as contentious litigation and cross-border asset recovery and debt restructurings. Ben is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a UK-qualified and licensed Insolvency Practitioner, and a qualified and appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner in the Cayman Islands. He holds the FCA designation, is an ICAEW Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, and serves as PwC's representative on the CIIPA Insolvency Practitioners' Committee.
