Yael Gerassi

Yael is a partner in the Israel Accounting Consulting Services (Israel ACS Group) of PwC Israel.

Yael joined the Israeli firm in 1997 and has an extensive experience in studying and researching developments in accounting and financial reporting, and educating professionals across the firm as well as clients and other external parties. She also shares with the firm's accounting staff her expertise on domestic and international technical issues.

Yael has considerable experience in reviewing financial statements and prospectuses, including those of companies listed on stock exchanges in the US and Europe (specializing in hi-tech companies). In addition, she has expertise in IFRS, US GAAP and Israeli GAAP.

In 2005, Yael served as a senior manager at the Technical Department of the UK firm’s head office in London (PwC UK). As part of her work there, Yael was involved in the initial IFRS adoption process by various UK public companies.

Yael has authored a number of professional articles and client updates that have been published by the Israeli firm's and in the local financial press (Globes Research). She has been a member of a technical sub-committee of the Israel Accounting Standards Board since 1998, and has also served on PwC Israel technical committees.

Yael is a distinguished and highly-respected teacher of undergraduate finance and accounting courses at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Management. She also gives senior year classes in financial accounting that prepare students for exams of the Israeli Auditors Council (CPA exams).

Yael holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics and an MBA in Finance and Marketing (cum laude). Both degrees were awarded by Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Management.

Yael is qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in Israel.
