We understand the difficulties that come associated with working remote and managing both our personal and work lives. The is a greater struggle to manage the multitude of distractions that can arise when we make the switch to home office.The following tips are meant to help  you continue to take care of yourselves around the changing environment:  

  1. Get dressed like you are going to the office. Although staying in PJs all day can sound comforting, changing clothes will help you have a more professional mindset and be more productive in the day
  2. Create a list of tasks at the start of each day to ensure you are focused and complete your objectives daily. Begin crossing off items in the list throughout the day to stay motivated
  3. Don’t forget to eat and hydrate. Set some time aside to ensure you are eating properly and maintain your regulate eating habits
  4. Have an area for eating and another for working. Make sure that your new “office” space is set up for productivity. (i.e. office chair, good lighting )
  5. Take small breaks every two hours. Your brain will need a break, make sure you prepare small distractions that can help you recharge when you need it.
  6. Connect with your coworkers often. (i.e. Include an end of day call to communicate progress)
  7. Work regular hours. You will no longer need to commute to work, and might find extra time to work. Make sure you don’t burn yourself out by overworking every day
  8. Continue your exercise routine. There are a lot of workout activities you can find online to ensure you are staying active in your own home without the necessity of any equipment. This will be crucial in helping you to manage your stress levels and workout habits
