National Cloud Assurance Leader

Cara is a Silicon Valley-based partner leading our Third Party Assurance services for the technology sector and is PwC’s national Cloud Assurance leader. She specializes in providing a broad range of governance, risk and control services to support trusted IT-enabled business strategies leveraging emerging technologies including third party assurance over cloud-based services.

As PwC’s Cloud Assurance leader, Cara represents and supports our long term investment in developing capabilities, standard practices, and practical solutions to help companies as they continue to consume cloud computing services across the business and IT landscape. She also leads our firm sponsorship and investment in significant cloud-based organizations and initiatives, including our participation with the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), CloudNOW (Cloud Network of Women) and FedRAMP (Federal initiative for cloud computing certification). She is the author of PwC’s “Protecting Your Brand in the Cloud: Transparency through Enhanced Reporting” and “Look Before You Leap Into the Cloud, The Promise of Lower Capital and Operational Costs Isn’t the Only Benefit of Cloud Computing”. Cara is a frequent speaker at cloud computing conferences and client-specific sessions regarding auditing and assurance over the cloud. She has presented to Oracle’s Global Internal Audit Organization on cloud computing and has co-presented with an Oracle executive on a webcast for “CFO’s Perspective on Cloud Computing" in connection with Oracle’s CFO’s Perspectives series, available on the Oracle website. She has also recently been awarded the Top Ten Women in Cloud Award by CloudNow. In her 23 years with PwC, Cara has worked with over 80 technology clients, including key cloud enabling enterprises.

Cara is a member of ISACA and the AICPA. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California and Massachusetts.
