Kathryn Kaminsky Named PwC’s New York City Metro Area Managing Partner

New York, June 24, 2019 ― PwC US has appointed Kathryn Kaminsky as the firm’s Managing Partner for the New York City Metro area effective July 1, 2019.

Kathryn’s responsibilities will include managing a team of more than 11,000 PwC professional employees who provide consulting, assurance and tax services to companies across New Jersey, New York and Connecticut as well as San Juan, PR. In this role, she will be responsible for driving the PwC brand and strategy while also guiding talent development, client service and community impact throughout the region with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion.

Kathryn is a partner serving the financial services industry and currently oversees the delivery of PwC’s professional services to a universal banking client. In this role she has been responsible for our global services team and the appropriate delivery of the full breadth of PwC’s global assurance, tax and advisory services.

She succeeds Brendan Dougher who has been asked to serve as the Managing Partner of our Cyber Security & Privacy Practice and is a Member of the US Firm's Board of Partners and Principals. “I am very excited for Kathryn, she is an outstanding professional and leader within our Firm and I am confident that she will be successful in leading our practice for many years to come,” he said. “It has been a privilege to serve as the managing partner of our New York Metro practice and I thank our partners and professionals for their support and commitment to quality, our clients and our community.”

 Kathryn graduated from the University of Western Ontario and is a certified public accountant in New York and New Hampshire and a member of the American Institute of the Certified Public Accountants.

One of Kathryn’s key focuses as a leader is the advancement of female and diverse professionals in the firm. Kathryn is sought out as a leadership mentor and regularly speaks at universities, conferences, and PwC functions regarding career development. 

Kathryn enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three boys.
