Overview

PROMESA law focuses on improving Puerto Rico economic policy and debt restructuring, and to prevent the Government of Puerto Rico from defaulting on a debt payment.

The PROMESA legislation offers the opportunity for Puerto Rico to fundamentally reshape its economic and fiscal prospects and create a basis for sustained growth.
