Jeff Simmons is a partner and serves as PwC’s Transportation and Logistics Assurance Leader. With 15 years of airline industry financial management experience, he has driven solutions for large multinational companies in both an auditing and advisory capacity.

Among his achievements, Jeff led the successful IT system integration for a $37 billion international airline and advised a $3 billion Latin American airline on the accounting processes and controls for a new loyalty program under IFRS. His extensive merger related efforts have resulted in key acquisition synergies while accelerating growth and maintaining high operating margins. In addition, Jeff's management of a major airline’s operating planning process proved his effectiveness in delivering cost restructuring initiatives, cash management, and financial, managerial and profitability reporting. His client engagements have also included technical accounting and financial reporting associated with pension and other post-retirement benefit plans.

Jeff serves as a speaker and ongoing resource for industry events, and has co-authored PwC thought leadership publications focused on airline Corporate Sustainability reporting and IFRS. His process oriented, yet strategic, point-of-view, has provided for meaningful recommendations to gain greater efficiencies and enhance internal controls. Jeff is a Texas & Illinois Certified Public Accountant and AICPA member.

He has over 27 years of experience in the Jacksonville market, working on a wide array of clients. Mike has worked on both public and privately held clients and has handled IRS examinations. Mike's experience also includes sports franchises and entertainment, retail and consumer, wholesale distribution, technology companies and high net worth individuals (including other family related entities such as private foundations).

Sean Johnson is a PwC Tax partner based in Dallas, Texas, and serves as the firm’s Airline Sector Tax Leader in the US. Sean has extensive experience in helping clients understand the broad spectrum of business, accounting, and tax issues associated with new and constantly evolving standard-setting and legislative developments. In his airline sector role, Sean consults with multinational clients on a wide range of tax issues, including research and development credits, cross-border planning, and complex tax accounting topics.

Sean is a CPA and has a Master’s degree in Taxation from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington and Lee University.

Darach Chapman is a PwC principal and serves as the firm’s Transaction Services practice leader in Florida as well as the US Deals leader for the Transportation and Logistics sector. Darach has worked exclusively in the field of mergers and acquisitions around the globe for over 20 years, having practiced in Dublin, Hong Kong, Boston and Miami.

As practice leader, Darach has developed a high performing team of deal professionals with combined experience of advising on thousands of deals in over twenty countries. In this capacity, he advises private equity and corporate clients as they pursue, value, diligence, negotiate, close and integrate acquisitions. He also advises clients on the execution of divestitures. In his sector role, Darach monitors both deal and industry trends to help clients shape tailored strategies for achieving inorganic growth and efficiencies in deal execution. He is an ongoing contributor of deal and industry thought leadership, and serves as an active participant at industry forums.

A Chartered Accountant, Darach received his MBA from INSEAD, France and his Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin, Ireland.

Julian Smith is Partner in PwC UK and currently serves as the firm’s Global Transport and Logistics leader while seconded as Adviser to PwC Indonesia. With 19 years of relevant international experience, Julian specializes in ports and railways, transport infrastructure PPPs, mergers and acquisitions, and project finance.

Previous to his current role, Julian served as PwC’s Capital Projects & Infrastructure leader in Central & Eastern Europe &CIS, and its Corporate Finance leader in Russia and CIS. In addition, he led a transport corporate finance team in London and was the leading adviser to the UK Department for Transport on private financing of rolling stock. Julian has worked on completed and pending transport deals totalling in excess of £9 billion private finance. His experience extends to transport strategy and business planning from work on nine rail franchise bids and other projects.

Julian received his BA (Hons) in Economics and Politics from the University of Exeter, and served as member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ACA).
