We’ve been encouraged by the progress companies have made at setting net zero targets and pursuing decarbonization projects. But the hard truth is many organizations concentrate on initiatives that are less challenging and offer an immediate return while delaying the more difficult, long-term projects. In this article, we highlight our new decarbonization series and describe why companies need to act now to match their net zero ambition with execution.

As Mark Twain suggests, wake up and 'eat the frog' first thing in the morning!

Absolutely true. In many cases tackling scope 3 requires not onmy a different set internally but moreover will require working together across the supply chain.

Great writeup and couldn't agree more! Much of what we are seeing is that the hesitance to start making moves (even baby steps) on the hard stuff is already making some companies have to revisit targets and take the brand hit because of it

Insightful article, thanks for sharing David. It is encouraging to see the growing commitment to net zero targets and decarbonization initiatives across the firms. A thoughtful and strategic approach is certainly needed for sustained impact.
