Tom Swoboda is a partner in the Tax practice at PwC based in Boston. He has 16 years of experience advising clients in the asset management industry (e.g., private equity funds, investment banks, hedge funds, and strategic investors) in multinational M&A transactions. Tom specializes in the tax aspects of global structuring in various jurisdictions in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. He advises on investments in a variety of asset classes including public and private equities, real estate, structured finance products, non-performing loans and derivatives.
Tom has an MS degree in business administration – taxation and accounting from Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Germany and earned his MBA in international management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. He pursued post-graduate taxation-focused learning at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Thomas has published articles on international tax law in various professional journals and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
