Scott Santas is a Partner with PwC's International Tax Services practice in Boston and has over seven years of experience as an international tax practitioner. He specializes in advising a wide variety of alternative investment clients, including multinational banks, hedge funds, private equity funds and sovereign wealth funds on structuring their cross border investments.
Scott has experience in a broad range of topics affecting the asset management industry and advises clients not only on U.S. federal tax issues but also on non-US taxing regimes. He has extensive expertise in international tax planning for U.S. and non-U.S. alternative investment funds and has advised his clients on implementing complex investment structures, executing corporate restructurings and repatriating assets. Scott’s experience also includes providing advice with respect to planning opportunities for management companies and tax efficient structuring of management and incentive fees.
Scott is a CPA licensed to practice in Massachusetts and New York and is a member of the AICPA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and Economics from Gettysburg College.
