Sam is a Partner in the Transaction Services practice, specializing in the Financial Services sector. Sam has more than 27 years of experience in financial services sector of which 23 years have been in the mergers and acquisitions space including creating and leading the Asset and Wealth Management Deals team for 10 years.
Sam has a wide range of financial services experience with deep expertise in alternative asset managers (private equity, public and private credit, public and private real estate, infrastructure, hedge fund and fund of fund managers) as well as traditional asset managers. Sam has also assisted several private equity clients in developing/executing insurance asset management strategies.
Sam has assisted both financial and strategic buyers on successful domestic and cross-border transactions with experience in doing deals in over 24 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Sam is experienced in all facets of mergers and acquisitions, from origination of the transaction to post deal integration. Sam directed large cross lines of service teams on buy-side and sell-side due diligence, carve-outs, initial public offerings and has experience in assisting her clients in drafting sale and purchase agreements, deal valuation and modeling, closing balance sheet adjustment reviews, assisting in purchase price dispute settlements and litigation support.
Prior to joining the Transaction Services in New York, Sam spent four years in PwC’s audit practice in the UK, servicing companies in the financial services sector. Sam received her BA Honors degree in accounting and finance with distinction from Middlesex University and MBA with distinction from University of Manchester in England. Sam is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a CPA and a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation - Level III.
