Mauricio Hurtado

Mexico Senior Partner and Market Managing Partner

Mauricio Hurtado is the Country Senior partner for Mexico. He has over 30 years of experience in the tax practice and has been the head of Mexico´s Transfer Pricing practice for 11 years. 

Throughout his professional career, he has developed and designed innovative transfer pricing structures. As a key player for international tax projects in the USA, Europe and Latin America. Mauricio has directed different restructure project such as the acquisition of intangible assets. He has worked and closely advised the most renowned companies in transportation, banking, construction, consumer goods, motor industry and the pharma sector in Mexico and other countries. 

Mauricio has negotiated a substantial number of rulings; as well as; unilateral, bilateral and multilateral Advance Pricing Agreements (APA). He also has participated in Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs) for different cases, and has been appointed as a Transfer Pricing expert witness in court cases in Mexico and frequently participates as a speaker for the American, British and German Chambers of Commerce in Mexico. 

Mauricio Hurtado has an Accounting degree from the LaSalle University in Mexico City.

  • Coordinator of the Transfer Pricing Committee at the Business and Industry Advisory Committee for the Mexican Bar of Accountants (past).
  • President of the Transfer Pricing Committee at the National Accounting Institute (past).

  • Member of the CONCAMIN Tax Committee (present). 
  • Board Member of the Operations, Finance and Administration Committee, La Salle University (present). 
  • Board member of ICC (present).
