Mark Simon

US Managing Partner, Assurance, PwC US

Mark is the Managing Partner of the US Assurance Practice, which consists of more than 1,160 partners and 15,000 staff.  He brings more than 29 years of experience to the role and previously served as the Regional Assurance Leader for the New York Metro Assurance Practice as well as the U.S. Leader of PwC's Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Industry Group.

Mark specializes in the branded and generic drug segments. His background includes the review and assessment of joint venture, licensing, research and development, co-promotion and other strategic partnering arrangements. He has assisted companies on numerous SEC filings and initial public offerings.  

Mark has served as the global engagement partner on a large number of the firm’s global clients primarily in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. In addition to his engagement responsibilities, Mark also serves as PwC’s senior relationship partner on a number of the Firm's more significant clients. In his role, Mark interacts frequently on a wide range of topics with executives and Board of Director members serving the Audit Committees.

Mark has served on the Board of Trustees of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and The American Repertory Ballet. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the states of New York and New Jersey. He received a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree from SUNY-Albany.
