Pat Durbin

Partner, National Professional Services Group, PwC US

Pat is a partner in PwC’s Assurance National Office and has over 28 years of experience. He has expertise in financial reporting and extensive experience serving board, C-suite, and senior management level executives across a variety of industries and geographies both in the US and internationally.

Pat leads a team of 30 partners and directors in the revenue, compensation and income tax accounting team team in PwC National Accounting Services Group who are responsible for assisting our engagement teams and clients in resolving complex technical accounting matters, developing the firm’s interpretive guidance in the relevant technical domains and issuing thought leadership to our practice on emerging financial reporting issues. In this role Pat frequently interacts with the Board and staff of the FASB, the staff of the Office of the Chief Accountant at the SEC and other technical experts in the profession.

Previously, Pat led the firm’s Industrial Products Assurance practice in the New York metro region, and served as the lead audit engagement partner on several SEC registered audit clients. Earlier in his career, Pat completed a Fellowship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board and spent two years on an international assignment in London as part of the firm’s global capital markets practice.

Pat holds a B.S. in Accounting with Honors and with Highest Distinction from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a CPA licensed to practice New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Pat currently chairs the External Advisory Board for the Accounting Department at his alma mater, Penn State.
