US Inbound Tax Leader
Christopher Kong (Chris) is a Partner with PwC. Chris is a CPA (Canada) and brings more than 25 years of experience working with large multinational and private companies in the manufacturing, distribution, retail and services industries. Chris has served as PwC Canada’s National Tax Leader, and National Retail and Consumer Leader. He currently serves on the Core Leadership Team for PwC US’s Tax practice responsible for Network and Asia Pacific Americas cluster matters. Chris is also the US Inbound Tax Leader and serves as Lead Tax Partner on a number of clients.
Chris advises on corporate tax matters and has extensive experience in tax aspects of corporate reorganizations, corporate dispositions and divestitures, corporate acquisitions, structuring and financing inbound investment into Canada, income tax compliance, and tax audit defence and support. Chris manages large transactions and large tax teams across different competencies, ensuring the PwC Team delivers the value the client expects, wherever the services are delivered worldwide.
Chris has been a contributor to the Canadian Tax Journal and has previously tutored for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-depth Tax course. He has a Bachelor of Commerce graduate of the University of Toronto.
Chris currently serves on the finance committee of the Hospital for SickKids Children’s Foundation in Toronto in addition to other community volunteer roles in the past.
