The US IPO market experienced an increase in activity in 2012, both in the number of IPOs and capital raised. US markets saw 146 IPOs raise proceeds of $42.9 billion, compared to the 134 IPOs in 2011, totaling proceeds of $35.5 billion. With increased momentum in the early days of 2013, we believe that the US IPO market will remain strong, and IPOs will be popular with companies and investors.
