The training involved 70 USPA employees represented by management personnel and staff from branches, including chief accountants, deputy chief accountants, heads of departments, chief economists and other professionals.
The training sessions were concurrently delivered to four groups in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Yuzhny.
The training was designed to gain IFRS theoretical knowledge and practical skills for subsequent use in daily activities.
The training programme comprised 3 modules and covered theory, case studies and remote online tests intended for individual practical application of knowledge acquired.
The last training session “Ukrainian GAAP vs IFRS” was focused on typical differences between the accounting frameworks and practical aspects of adjustments and restatements in financial statements.
During a 6-day training course, the participants were able to learn most IFRSs, consider specific aspects of IFRS application based on illustrative examples and apply IFRSs in practice based on case studies.
The training participants were able to ask various methodological questions to PwC team and to discuss relevant issues with experts.
As part of the training, PwC Academy trainers received feedback from the training participants to maximise training effectiveness and value.
Upon completion of the training programme, the participants successfully passed the final test covering all 3 modules.
As a result of the training, employees of SOE “USPA” gained the required level of knowledge and practical skills for subsequent application of IFRSs in their daily activities.
