PwC Ukraine invites you to a Business Breakfast dedicated to the trending issues in criminal proceedings connected with the tax audits and tax litigation.

The merger of the tax and customs authorities and numerous initiatives of the newly established Ministry of Revenue and Duties definitely will impact future developments in relationships between the state and business. Despite the aggressive approach sometimes taken by the tax authorities, alternative dispute resolution could be a developing trend in Ukrainian practice.

Considering this, we will present practical recommendations related to criminal proceedings and our view of the imposition of criminal sanctions on legal entities. We will also highlight a new draft law regarding the “sham” transactions issue, and discuss alternative dispute resolution techniques which could be considered in disputes with the tax authorities.

  • The Criminal Procedural Code – how does it work today?
  • Implementation of criminal sanctions on legal entities – risks that companies may face.
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution – how can taxpayers negotiate with the controlling authority?
  • New approaches of the tax authorities with respect to recognising “sham” transactions.

The number of seats is limited and we reserve the right to limit the number of participants from one company. If your registration request is received after the maximum capacity is reached, we will notify you, and, if possible, register you for a subsequent/similar event. The date of any subsequent event will be communicated separately.
