The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued RMC No. 57-2020 which prescribes the updated policy and revised checklist of documentary requirements for business registration and other types of applications as attached in Annexes A1-A11 of the said RMC.
The requirements for registering a new business as published in the BIR Citizen’s Charter 2019 have been streamlined by removing the Mayor’s Permit as one of the mandatory requirements.
The BIR shall not process deficient or incomplete applications or requests, pursuant to Rule VII, Section 2(b) of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 11032, also known as “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Delivery Act of 2018”.
You may access the full version of the RMC and its Annexes on the BIR website.
