(as amended by the TRAIN Law, RAs 11256, 11346 and 11467)
Beginning in 2018, the Philippine taxation system has been and is still in a state of dynamic transformation, with the government heading towards accelerating poverty reduction, minimizing inequality, and generating revenues to invest in the Filipino people and infrastructure.
In this journey, Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines has actively supported the crafting of Republic Act (RA) No. 10963 or the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (otherwise known as the TRAIN Law), including its implementing rules and regulations, by putting forward the impact, challenges, and issues raised by the affected taxpayers and industries.
This edition of the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997 (Tax Code) will help the readers (especially the taxpayers) keep up with the latest developments in the Philippine taxation system. It includes the amendments introduced by the TRAIN Law, as well as RA No. 11256 (Gold Law), RA No. 11346 (Tobacco Tax Law 2019), and RA No. 11467 (New Sin Tax Reform Law).
