Oil & gas companies were not betting on the oil price slump to last as long as it has. With the prolonged decline, many are realising that the future means energy companies must re-invent themselves in order to survive.
We have seen some significant shifts in the top challenges facing the industry in the current environment. Both taxation requirements and government relations are much higher on the agenda than they were in the past.
The oil price continues to be top of the list when it comes factors most likely to impact business over next three years, while health, safety and the environment seem to be taking a back seat.
