On July 1, PwC announced the line-up of our new Country Management Team, which comprised both new and familiar faces as part of our plans to continuously adapt to the changes and opportunities taking place in this landscape.
Led by our Managing Partner Sridharan (Sri) Nair and Executive Chairman Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi, the Country Management Team features two new faces, Assurance Leader Soo Hoo Khoon Yean (Soo Hoo), and Markets Leader Nurul A’in Abdul Latif (Nurul).
As Assurance Leader, Soo Hoo will ensure our assurance practice is sustainable and relevant to the times amidst increasing client expectations for better insight through financial reporting and greater assurance over business risks. Soo Hoo is also our Risk Assurance Services (RAS) leader.
Nurul will focus on sharpening our go-to-market strategy and client delivery strategy. She brings a fresh perspective to the business, with her wealth of experience as the Oil & Gas leader and her diverse portfolio of clients.
With the increasing strategic importance of human capital in our business today, we have created the new position of People Partner.
Pauline Ho, our former Assurance Leader (the first female in that position) assumes this role, overseeing talent matters across the firm as we strive to adapt to the needs of an increasingly discerning talent pool.
On 1 October, Andrew Chan, joined the Country Management Team as the new Consulting Leader. As the Strategy Leader and Sustainability & Climate Change Leader before this, his capabilities and experience reflect our focus on delivering strategy through execution in helping our clients navigate uncertainties in a disruptive marketplace.
“Having a leadership team that is diverse in skills and experiences enhances the quality of our decisions, as we work with our clients to solve their issues. Bringing in leaders with a broad range of expertise will provide us a more holistic lens in which to examine our clients’ business issues. This helps us to deliver more meaningful value as business advisors,” said Sri.
