Anne-Sophie is the Managing Partner at PwC Legal. She is a practising Barrister at the Mauritius and English Bar as well as a non-practising Barrister at the Paris Bar. She has 15 years’ standing at the Bar, the first 9 years of which were spent working in the London office of leading American law firms.
Anne-Sophie’s time is shared between her advisory and dispute resolution work. Her advisory expertise is wide ranging and touches upon all fields of business law including regulatory, investment structuring, tax, company, insolvency, contract, employment, data protection, real estate and construction. On the contentious side, Anne-Sophie regularly appears for clients before the Supreme Court, the Tax Tribunal and international arbitration tribunals.
Anne-Sophie also advises foreign investors wishing to invest in Africa, Asia and the Middle East on the substantive and procedural protection afforded to them and their investments under bilateral and multilateral investment treaties concluded by the State of Mauritius with countries located in these regions.
Anne-Sophie is a regular speaker at conferences locally and internationally, and has sat on panels together with prominent judges such as Lord Hoffman, former Judge of the Court of Appeal of England & Wales and Judge Judith Kay, former Judge of the New York Supreme Court.
Anne-Sophie has published numerous articles in international legal journals including the New Law Journal, Practical Law, Lexis Nexis and Kluwer Arbitration.
She also taught as part of the LLM in International Business Law offered by French University Panthéon-Assas in Mauritius.
