Our Business Recovery & Forensic Services team operates across all segments of the market providing strategic and tactical advice to lenders, creditors, companies and individuals facing challenging circumstances, ranging from financial stress through distress to insolvency, so as to allow them to remain in control and make more informed decisions.

About the job

We are seeking to recruit talented Managers and Senior Managers to join our Advisory - Business Recovery & Forensic Services department.

Reporting to the Partner, you’ll be working on insolvency-related projects including liquidations, receiverships, voluntary administrations, bankruptcy, and cross-border insolvencies as well as providing advice on turnaround and restructuring.

The on-the-job experience will further develop you technically and personally. Whether you're researching, modelling, writing reports, analysing data or developing options and recommendations, your work could well help rescue a business - perhaps saving jobs and ensuring the company can meet its financial obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams in the delivery of large and complex insolvency, restructuring and independent business review mandates, locally and cross-border;
  • Investigate a wide range of issues such as fraud, bribery and regulatory breaches by working alongside lawyers on disputes, litigations and regulatory matters, as well as helping clients to prevent or mitigate crises;
  • Design client solutions and develop client deliverables such as assignment reports and presentations;
  • Be responsible for credit management and liaison with various stakeholders on debt collection;
  • Undertake and lead business development through active pursuits by identifying leads, converting leads to expressions of interests, proposals and client engagements;
  • Lead teams and build synergies while coaching junior consultants on various best practices, methods and processes;
  • CFA Holder under requirements; and
  • Business and Cash Flow Review.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Qualified accountant/legal professionals with 2 - 4 years’ experience in undertaking insolvency, restructuring, Independent Business Reviews and forensics assignments including investigations, disputes and litigation;
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements; well-versed with the provisions of the Insolvency Act 2009 and Companies Act 2001;
  • Complex Stakeholder Management and negotiations experience;
  • Strong network of work-winning relationships;
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Confidence and presence, with credibility at the highest levels;
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and
  • Ability to develop and maintain good client relationships.
