The competition is open to students currently enrolled in (i) either a full-time undergraduate course at a duly recognised university1 or (ii) a full-time student registered with a tertiary institution2 based in Mauritius or overseas, by close of registration date (i.e. 18 September 2017).
Where a team from an overseas university or tertiary institution qualifies for the Grand Finale, team members will be entitled to one point-to-point airfare from their respective locations to Mauritius in economy class.
Team members need to be between 18 – 25 years old by close of registration date (18 September 2017).
Team members may not be in employment (part-time/full-time) for the duration of the competition.
Teams must consist of no fewer than four (4) members and no more than five (5) members. Post registration date, the composition of the team cannot be altered. If a team falls below the minimum of 4 members after the registration date, the team will not be eligible to continue the competition.
Closing date for registration is 18 September 2017 at midnight. After this date, no further entries will be permitted.
Teams which do not adhere to deadlines will be automatically disqualified. Refer to the calendar of activities.
Only one entry per person is permitted.
Team members hereby warrant that all information submitted by them is true, accurate and complete in every respect. PwC reserves the right to verify any information contained in the registration entry.
The use of a false name, address or any other personal details will not be tolerated.
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
PwC reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any participant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the participant has breached any of these terms and conditions, any applicable law (including copyright law) or has otherwise infringed the intellectual property right(s) of any other person.
In the event that a prize-winner is disqualified from this competition, PwC will select an alternative prize-winner in the same manner as the original prize-winner.
PwC reserves the right to cancel or amend this competition and these terms and conditions. Any changes in this competition will be notified to the participants as soon as possible.
Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by PwC whose decision will be final and not subject to appeal.
Any decision of PwC in respect of all matters to do with this competition will be final and not subject to appeal.
The prize is not transferable nor assignable and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions.
By entering this competition, a participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1 A University refers to a degree-granting institution that primarily delivers teaching to students in a traditional educational setting through classroom-based course offerings, electronic media or online learning.
2 A tertiary institution is an accredited institution which provides tuition towards the completion of professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA and CFA.
