FinTech

What does FinTech mean for financial services organisations: innovation, disruption, opportunity - or all of them?

FinTech is a dynamic segment of the Financial Services sector that is gaining significant momentum and causing disruption to the traditional financial services value chain. New Fintech companies are redefining the competitive landscape and blurring the lines within the Financial Services Sector.

Why Malta?

Malta aims to establish the foundations to enable FinTech start-ups, technology firms and established financial services providers to develop viable FinTech solutions which drive innovation and enhance access to financial products, increase competition, deliver better customer experiences, and ultimately, contribute to the long-term success of the Maltese financial services sector.

As part of its FinTech strategy, the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has identified six strategic pillars to help the financial services industry make the most of new technologies. The proposed pillars are: regulations, ecosystem, architecture, international links, knowledge and security.

How we can help

We work with various financial services entities and bodies to  assist with the implementation of FinTech innovation, from strategy through execution, and help FinTech start-ups accelerate and scale their businesses to reach their full potential.

How do we do this?

With technologies come many new services, but also many new challenges. We approach these changes through our BXT methodology - Business, eXperience and Technology.

It represents the three components necessary for solving the business challenges of today. Digital is a whole-of-business concern and it’s essential that all perspectives are considered to ensure your business will be  successful and ready to face the transformation challenges.

  • Business: Reassessing business strategy, operating models, capabilities and process.

  • Experience: Optimising the customer experience.

  • Technology: The technologies and technical understanding required to enable change.
