The competing forces shaping 2030

Young Workers Index 2017

The $1.2 trillion prize from empowering young workers to succeed in an age of automation

Increased globalization and an explosion of activity in emerging markets has contributed to a significant increase in the need to relocate staff and source talent from around the world, resulting in an evolution of assignment types with more sophisticated technology needs.  Along with short- and long-term assignees there are frequent business travellers, intra-regional and virtual assignees, all of whom create a need for an intuitive, secure, self-service technology platform that can handle the many aspects of assignee management, tracking and compliance with ease and confidence.

As part of our commitment to enhancing the program manager experience, we have designed and are deploying our latest tool to support the increasingly complex mobility function.  myMobility  will offer our clients the ability to manage all aspects of their global programs  in real-time from a single dashboard.  For more details please see "Global Mobility" section below.

From 1 January 2017 Kazakhstan tax residents are obliged to disclose information about properties (real estate, securities, participation shares) owned and registered outside Kazakhstan, along with information about funds available in bank accounts held outside Kazakhstan and other incomes received from worldwide sources, in Declaration on Individual Income Tax (Form 240.00, hereinafter the "Declaration").

Non-reporting of funds available in  foreign bank accounts or properties owned by individuals located outside Kazakhstan is subject to an administrative fine in the amount of 250 MCI* for each non-disclosed item. Non-submission of the Declaration is automatically treated as non-reporting.

The deadline for submission of the Declaration for 2017 calendar year is March 31, 2018.  The deadline for remittance of income tax liabilities for 2017 is April 10, 2018.  If you need help or have questions, please contact Anar Khassenova or Abay Munsyzbayev.

Since 1 January 2017 Kazakhstan resident individuals should declare property held outside of Kazakhstan in their annual income tax declarations.

Workforce of the future

The competing forces shaping 2030

We are living through a fundamental transformation in the way we work. Automation and ‘thinking machines’ are replacing human tasks and jobs, and changing the skills that organisations are looking for in their people. These momentous changes raise huge organisational, talent and HR challenges – at a time when business leaders are already wrestling with unprecedented risks, disruption and political and societal upheaval.

Employment tax and benefits

We are delivering full range of payroll services for expatriates as well regular employees for clients in different industries.  This includes monthly tax calculations, payslips reporting, payment orders, expense reports administration.

Global Mobility

We support international mobile workforce through whole assignment lifecycle using Global Mobility technology designed and used by global network of GM PwC professionals, from assignment planning to preparation of personal tax return and assisting with tax payment.

Technology and Efficiency

The #1 job of the global mobility function is to deploy talent to the assignment location in as cost effective and efficient way as possible. Are you thinking about how to best align your mobility process to meet the needs of your business strategy while keeping costs down? Are your assignment policies flexible enough to cope with different assignment patterns, a rapidly changing workforce diversity, and a growth in new assignment locations? Does your mobility function make effective use of technology? PwC can help you address these challenges and future proof your mobility function and processes.

We began a five year, $10 million program of innovation to re-imagine how we work with clients and assignees in an effort to constantly improve the assignee experience while reducing the compliance burden. We launched MyTaxes and the first true global organizer.

We launched new and innovative mobile technology applications − myTravel and TravelWatch − to make companies' mobility programs even more efficient, portable, and automated. We also launched Global Data Collect (or GDC), which is now recognized as the market leading technology solution supporting the efficient, timely and accurate gathering of global compensation and payroll tax reporting

PwC’s TravelWatch solution was awarded the Re:Locate Magazine Award for Technological Innovation in Relocation.

We formed a number of collaborative partnerships to complement our global mobility technology development plans, including a strategic alliance with Microsoft

We will continue to invest in technology and relationships, and listen to our clients, as well as the broader market to understand the challenges they face. We will continue to develop and deliver innovative technology solutions, like ShareTax, which processes global calculations for share plans.

We will launch the next generation of global mobility technology in early 2015, myMobility, this will involve the convergence of a number of tools and capabilities, utilizing the most contemporary technologies.

Short- and long-term assignees, frequent business travelers, intra-regional, and virtual assignees, all create a need for an intuitive, secure, self-service technology platform that can handle the many aspects of talent mobility with ease and confidence. In addition to changing deployment models and assignment types, we are seeing a number of factors in the market that are shifting the expectation of global mobility technology providers, including significant growth in talent mobility, new and emerging markets and heightened scrutiny from tax authorities  on expatriate compensation, tax treaties and social security agreements.

We are on a journey with our clients to develop and implement technology that supports your global mobility function and business strategy. For more information on myTaxesmyMobility or any of our technology offerings, please contact Shawn McGrath or Dominic Hammond
