In the past decade, Japan’s cumulative stock of foreign direct investment in Brazil has climbed substantially in the recent years. Many Japanese Multinational Companies became again interested in investing in Brazil, benefiting in several economic fields, i.e. manufacturing, agribusiness, foods, among others.
Japan’s long-term collaboration with Brazil has contributed to the country becoming an important economy in the world. The IMF predicts Brazil will maintain an average 6.6% yearly growth rate for the next five years and become the world’s 5th economy by 2018. It is undeniable that Brazil can only offer more opportunities for Japan, especially considering Brazil is home to the largest Japanese population outside of Japan (between 1.4 and 1.5 million people of Japanese descent).
At PwC Brazil, 176 partners and 5,300 staff offer Professional services to almost a third of the largest companies. PwC Brazil will continue to provide Assurance, Tax and Advisory services to Japanese businesses in the most important market of South America.
