PwC Channel Islands NED workshop on changes to the UK Corporate governance and Stewardship Codes

2012 has seen considerable changes in the regulatory framework, including changes to the UK Corporate governance and Stewardship Codes and these changes will continue into 2013 when Government legislation on directors' remuneration and narrative reporting comes into effect and the FRC will publish updated guidance on risk and internal control and the going concern assessment.

During the workshops held in Guernsey and Jersey, John focused on corporate governance changes and developments for listed funds, the increasing requirements from and pressures on Audit Committees to comply, updates on the UK Competition Commission/EU Audit Proposals (rotation and audit tenders), and the local audit oversight regime for listed funds including how would you assess audit quality if asked?

The presentation attached gives some of the highlights covered in the workshops. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact John Roche, Paul Silcock or your usual PwC contact.
