"The experience I had at PwC Isle of Man was great, where everyone I met and worked with were friendly and accommodating in helping me through different aspects of work, through which I felt very much a part of the team. This internship has allowed me to experience work in a top accounting firm, whilst giving me a good understanding of the culture of PwC and the way the team operates."

"I hadn't much experience working in an office environment so I thought that I could get a lot of out of the internship. Working in finance has always been an interest of mine so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work for one of the biggest firms in the market. Getting to feel like I’m part of the team has been great. Everyone that I’ve been surrounded by in the office has made me feel welcomed. There hasn’t been a single point in time that I felt like I shouldn’t be here."

Studying: BA (Hons) History

"I discovered the internship at the annual Insight Event the firm runs for students to find out more about career options on offer, I learnt that the internship would provide invaluable experience and give me varied knowledge of the office. I really enjoyed my time spent in Assurance because it gave me a good understanding of how businesses operate. I worked with the Audit team on a life insurance company and a property investment company, where I learnt an array of skills including how to carry out controls testing and auditing financial statements. As part of my time in Advisory I worked upon an Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism regulations research paper. The research element of Advisory really interested me and has inspired a genuine interest in a career in advisory services.
I finished my three weeks with a great insight into what a career in the accounting and finance
profession is like."

"A career in accounting has always been something I have considered and I wished to gain first-hand experience working in an accountancy firm before deciding on my post A-Level education. My experience here at PwC is one I will carry with me. It has been extremely insightful and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside some amazing people who have guided and taught me so much."
