Ms. Melli Darsa’s main expertise revolves in the areas of securities capital markets, M&A and regulatory matters, with further specialization in public company governance and strategic corporate litigation. She has been practicing legal advisory since 1990. Having grown up and educated primarily in the United States, Switzerland and Indonesia, Ms. Darsa is able to deal comfortably and equally well with both foreign and Indonesian clients. Prior to establishing Melli Darsa & Co. (MDC), she was an international partner in a global firm operating in Indonesia. 

As the Founder and Senior Partner in MDC, Ms. Darsa has handled some of the largest banks and financial institutions restructuring and reorganization, as well as a number of cross-border securities transaction. During that period the MDC worked with various top-tier international law firms providing MDC with a platform of international expertise and best practice. As one of the most senior Indonesian corporate lawyers, Ms. Darsa is a trusted advisor to many General Counsels of some of the most respected foreign and multinational institutions in the Asia Pacific area having interest in Indonesia.

Ms Darsa serves as a member of the Honorary Board of HKHPM (Association of Capital Market Consultants), as well as Advisor for Pro Bono Activities and Vice Chairman of the Board of Experts of PERADI (the Indonesian Bar Association). She is currently the Vice Chair-person of Legal and Regulatory Affairs of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). Ms. Darsa is consistently ranked as top attorney in the field of capital markets, public M&A and corporate advisor by major legal publications, and frequently speak on Indonesian legal matters in various international seminars.
