Senior Manager, PwC Indonesia

Sudono is a Senior Manager in the Financial Services Division. He has more than 11 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry, including in banking, insurance, multi-finance, and securities. Sudono is also a key member of PwC Indonesia's IFRS 9 Implementation Team.


Education/professional qualifications:

Sudono holds a bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Surabaya and is a certified Chartered Accountant of Indonesia.

He also completed an accountancy professional education course at the University of Indonesia.


Summary of key project experience:

Sudono spent two years on secondment to PwC US (in the New York office), where he gained international experience from his involvement in large US-based financial institution engagements. During his secondment, along with financial audits he was also assigned to assist clients in reviewing their internal control practice in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act, assessed potential risk exposure and recommended practical control improvements to clients' management. He was also part of a team with global experience, where he interacted with numerous people from around the globe, including Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. For audit assignments, he helped to review financial statements in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, and State regulation.

Previously, he was involved in the due diligence for several mergers and acquisitions in Indonesia. He was also involved in advisory work, where he helped a financial institution in Indonesia to assess the adequacy of their Standard Operational Procedure (SOPs) and control weaknesses in their internal control implementation for several business processes, and recommended practical control improvements to the client's management.
