June 11, 2020

PwC has significantly increased its already large SAP investments and has adapted its business-experience-technology (BXT) approach to help SAP accounts move toward S/4HANA.

PwC has been named as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SAP Implementation Services 2020 Vendor Assessment (June 2020, IDC #US45354920). This evaluation is based on a comprehensive framework and set of parameters expected to be most conducive to success in providing SAP implementation services in both the short term and the long term.

According to the report, “Enterprises are increasingly focusing on business process enhancement/realignment when adopting SAP solutions. IDC's Global SAP Implementation Services Buyer Perception Survey suggests that in over 55% of the SAP implementation projects, customers are undergoing some sort of business process change with the goal to improve their existing processes/create new. At the same time, enterprises seem to focus on tighter integration between their SAP investments with non-SAP assets. In the same survey, buyers indicated that about 46% of SAP implementation services projects involve integration with non-SAP platforms/solutions.”

The IDC MarketScape report notes, “PwC combines expertise in understanding customer business process and industry needs with its expertise in the SAP implementation space to help transform clients' businesses. PwC's SAP strategy is centered on creating integrated offerings from strategy through execution and by providing industry-focused, business-led, and technology-enabled capabilities.”

The report goes on to say, “It has significantly increased its already large SAP investments and has adapted its business-experience-technology (BXT) approach to help SAP accounts move toward S/4HANA. To maximize the insight and impact PwC wants to deliver for its clients, PwC offers SAP solutions to a set of target industries, including industrial products, energy, retail and consumer, high tech, power and utilities, and health services.”

Commenting on PwC’s strengths, the report states that “Buyers rate PwC highly for its ability to integrate its team with customers' internal teams and for its ability to help customers achieve desired business outcomes. IDC values PwC's marketing strategy and for developing future functionality and offering road map.”

Rodney Seligmann, Global SAP Alliance Leader, PwC said: “We are really pleased to be recognised as a leader in this IDC MarketScape. SAP’s business software helps companies accelerate growth, develop game-changing innovations and drive more value to their bottom lines. Setting SAP up for success, though, requires a strategic partner who follows industry leading best practices, has deep sector expertise and has overseen other transformational initiatives. We are one of SAP's premier partners and, together, we have co-created a number of leading solutions for our clients.”
