Noted for innovation and supporting organizational change
PwC has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Americas Business Consulting Services 2018 Vendor Assessment (doc #US42761718, March 2018). The IDC MarketScape’s analysis is based upon two key criteria. The first is a series of interviews with firm Leaders. The second is an end-user client survey.
Based upon these measurement criteria, PwC was recognized for its global focus, extensive network of strategic alliances and end-to-end service offerings, with particular note of its offerings in digital and innovation. PwC works closely with technology partners, including Google, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft and GE, building strategic partnerships that lead to shared learnings and increased access to expertise for their clients.
The IDC report notes PwC’s Business, eXperience, and Technology (BXT) philosophy, which, coupled with PwC’s other functional area expertise, allows for large-scale transformation.
Expanding on PwC’s technology offerings, the report states, “With 35 digital experience centers worldwide, PwC Digital provides clients with integrated, purpose-built solutions. Using the Business, eXperience, and Technology (BXT) philosophy, the digital team's integration on projects across the network delivers exponential value. PwC has expanded its digital consulting business with a focus on acquiring enhanced capabilities in disruptive strategy, digital customer engagement and experience, data and analytics, digital business operations, and 3rd Platform technology. These skills, in combination with PwC's more traditional business strategy offerings, help clients with large-scale transformation and guide businesses from strategy through to successful execution.”
Also stated in the report, “PwC's awards speak to the strength and diversity of PwC's global network — its ability to listen to and understand clients and work with them to forecast their future needs. A global presence and local knowledge of individual markets and sectors is brought to each client, helping them move strategically through a global landscape of rapid change.”
Author of the report, Cushing Anderson, Program Vice President, Business Consulting Services, IDC, says of PwC, “Buyers in the Americas regard PwC as one of the most capable firms at providing technical insights and competence. Moreover, PwC is considered better than many of its peers at helping clients drive innovation through their companies and improve operational efficiency. Clients also see PwC as above average relative to peers at supporting business change across their organizations.”
Miles Everson, PwC’s Global Advisory Leader, said: "This is a major achievement for our US Advisory Business and a strong statement on the progress we’ve made over the past year. We've set out some highly ambitious growth plans and we're well on the way to achieving them. Being named a Leader by the IDC MarketScape is a testament to our dedication to helping our clients as they navigate a complex and changing world."
