Suzanne is a Tax partner specializing in Global Mobility Services and part of PwC’s People and Organization group. Based in the Calgary office, she provides services primarily to the oil, gas and construction sectors.
Suzanne has more than 25 years of experience helping a diverse set of Canadian and international companies deal with expatriate tax issues. She has been actively involved in designing global mobility policies, advising on expatriate tax and social security issues, evaluating the treatment of international compensation plans, and making sure her clients receive exceptional expatriate tax services around the globe.
Suzanne has been invited to speak on a variety of topics, including taxation of business travellers, the Fifth Protocol to the Canada-US Tax Treaty, application of the US anti-deferral rules for Canadians, termination of employees on cross border assignments, and taxation of stock options for individuals crossing the border.
Suzanne graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1987 from the University of Calgary and earned her CA designation in 1990. Before joining PwC in 2002, she provided US corporate and personal tax services at another large professional services firm. Suzanne is a CA with the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants and a CPA in the State of Illinois.
