John holds several major leadership roles within PwC, with an extensive network of partner contacts. As the leader of PwC's global retail and consumer industry practice, John is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals serving the industry. In this leadership role, John is also responsible for coordinating service to PwC's largest global consumer goods and retail clients on dealing with issues from strategy through execution including emerging market expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and enterprise risk management. Based in New York City, John has also served PwC clients while resident in London and Minneapolis.
In June 2013 John was elected Chairman of PwC's Global Board, of which he had been a member since 2009. The Board, which consists of 18 elected members, is responsible for the governance of PwC's global network of firms. John's also served on the US Board of Partners and Principals, which he chaired from July 2011 until July 2013, and has been a member of since 2007. The strategy formation and policy experience John has gained in serving both of these boards has given him further insight and understanding into the challenges facing executives in the “C-suite”.
Actively involved in professional affairs, John continues his leadership role in PwC's support of the Grocery Manufacturers of America including the GMA CFO Share Group. He also speaks frequently at executive conferences and has published articles on issues pertaining to consumer goods and retail companies. John graduated cum laude from Villanova University with a B. S. in Accounting. He has also attended educational programs at Dartmouth's Tuck School, Harvard Business School, Stanford Business and the University of Virginia's Darden School of Management.
