Global automotive assurance leader
Hitoshi is a partner in the Assurance practice at PwC Aarata (Japan) and currently serves as the GRP for Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota). Hitoshi has been providing services to Toyota since 1995, including its public offering in the U.S. and the global implementation of internal controls in support of U.S. SOX. He also serves as the GRP for Toyota Tshusho Corporation, one of the largest trading companies in Japan and affiliated company of Toyota. In addition to his client service roles, Hitoshi also is the partner in-charge of PwC Aarata’s Nagoya office which primarily serves clients within the automotive industry sector.
Prior to taking the GRP role for Toyota, Hitoshi led the Accounting Consulting Services (ACS) group for PwC Aarata. During this time he also served as a member of PwC Global ACS. These roles, in addition to his two secondments in the U.S., provided him with deep technical expertise in the areas of U.S. GAAP and IFRS that he uses today to serve PwC Aarata’s global clients.
