Dennis Chesley is a Principal in PwC's Advisory practice with over 25 years of experience across a broad range of public and private entities with global operations. In this capacity, Dennis is the Global Leader of Risk Consulting and member of the U.S. Advisory Leadership Group. He also leads PwC’s work on the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) update to the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, slated for release in 2016. A joint initiative of five private-sector organizations, COSO provides thought leadership to senior management on governance, business ethics, internal control, ERM, fraud and financial reporting.
In addition, Dennis is an important driver of the Firm's approach to solutions that cross the intersection of business strategy, risk management, business operations, compliance, internal control and technology. He is the key sponsor of PwC’s Risk Advantage mindset, which moves risk management from a separate function to an integral part of the organization, linking risk with strategy to boost performance and gain competitive advantage.
Dennis is a frequent speaker and author on topics related to strategy, risk, compliance and control. Dennis' clients include global financial institutions, NGOs, federal agencies and industry utilities, and he has been responsible for leading several of the firm's larger and/or more complex projects, most recently the IRS ERM engagement and the Treasury TARP engagement.
