Despite fierce competition and a challenging economic and political environment, PwC firms have seen their business and our workforce grow.
For the financial year ending 30 June 2017, PwC’s combined gross revenues were US$37.7 billion, up 7% at constant exchange rates. Revenues rose in nearly all major markets and across all lines of business driven by investment in innovation, technology, new services and the power of PwC's brand.
With 236,235 people in 158 countries, PwC firms employ people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and with a wide range of skills. What do they share in common? PwC's purpose and values - and the work they do each day to create value for stakeholders. But we also know the best solutions come about when people with different perspectives work together. That’s why we’re firmly committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.
PwC's clients range from some of the world's leading multinational companies, to new and growing enterprises; from large family businesses and governments, to NGOs and private individuals. And they're located in nearly every country in the world. Whoever PwC's clients are, wherever they are, they can expect the same high levels of service.
In a first-in-industry move, we’re releasing PwC analysis of the quality of our member firms' audits and what we're doing to continually improve audit quality. We feel this is particularly important in light of the recent questions about the quality of audits, the responsibilities of the auditors that conduct them, how an audit’s success or failure is monitored and assessed.
Individually, we can all make a difference. But by working together we have the potential to bring real change to society. Whether it’s serving clients, sharing our thinking as trusted experts, or managing our business as responsible leaders, it’s an obligation the member firms of the PwC network take seriously.
