Stephen Zawoyski

US Enterprise Risk Management Leader,
Risk Assurance Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)

Steve Zawoyski is a San Francisco-based partner who leads PwC’s San Francisco Risk Assurance Services team and is the leader of PwC’s national Risk Assurance Services Enterprise Risk Management practice. Steve has extensive knowledge and experience in providing risk assurance, enterprise risk management (ERM), and internal audit services to clients across the retail, consumer, healthcare and industrial products industries.

As a Risk Assurance partner, Steve supports his clients in a variety of functions, including risk management program development and implementation, ERM program assessment and process improvement, risk assessment services, internal audit co-sourcing and out-sourcing, and internal controls evaluation and design. He also performs strategic and benchmarking assessments of leading internal audit departments. As a practice leader, Steve provides guidance to individual client engagement teams and is responsible for the development of underlying knowledge content supporting PwC's ERM practice. Steve has been recognized by leading risk management organizations for his ability to combine innovative ideas into practical solutions that enhance and support organization’s risk management programs.

Steve has authored several risk management thought leadership documents, and is sought after to speak on the topic of internal audit effectiveness and risk management at local, regional, and national events and conferences. Steve received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Illinois State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois California and Minnesota. Steve currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Children’s Museum.
