Teachers Club

We are active on the academic ground and support the development of talented individuals

At PwC we take care of our colleagues not only while they are working on their projects, but we also support them in their academic activities. Teachers Club is a platform which connects and supports PwC employees who are active in the academic world.

You can meet our specialists during their university lectures, workshops and events organised in cooperation with student associations.

It’s not only universities we are interested in – we are very happy to meet even talented secondary school students, and that’s why we are proud partners of organisations that take education seriously. This includes the Economic Olympiad or partnership with EDUin while appraising the demanding role of teachers and interesting structural changes in the Czech school system, or mentoring within the DofE leisure activities programme.

Meet us during university lectures or workshops for secondary school students.

Universities

You can meet our specialists at universities all across the Czech Republic. Over 59 employees give guest lectures on a regular basis or teach their own discipline.

We teach our own disciplines, take part in secondary ones, give guest lectures, organise student competitions, workshops, allow students to see what it feels like to go through a selection process, or offer dozens of internship opportunities per year.

We pass onto students our practical experience, connect the world of business with the academic world while having only one goal – to help the young generation form their own opinions of the world and business and to get the idea of individual fields, so that the young people make a good choice with respect to their future career. The thing is, students are our future, too.

Student associations

We enjoy cooperation with student associations, and that’s why our experts get actively involved in professional lectures and workshops that we create together. Whether the students are interested in robotics, transfer taxes, or in getting ready for a job interview, along with our specialists, we are happy to launch any topic. Would your student association like to start cooperating with us? Let us know and we will create the right lecture for you as well.

Organisations focused on secondary schools

We believe that cooperation with talented individuals already starts during their secondary school studies. That’s why we are long-term partners of the Economic Olympiad where our specialists introduce a consultant’s role to students. Furthermore, students can meet us as consultants/mentors during their activities in the DofE programme – this long-term leisure concept helps young people improve what’s important and generally applicable – the ability to determine their goals, to handle the first failures, to learn from their mistakes, to accept feedback, to acknowledge the mentors and to learn from them, to try again and not to give up. Whether the young people decide to pursue further studies or to start work or their own business, these skills are always going to be useful.

Radek Buršík

Despite being an attorney-at-law, I teach law to future economists, especially those who wish to deal with the tax issues in the future. At the Prague University of Economics and Business, I teach them the fundamentals of the administrative justice process and introduce to them the judicial decisions associated with tax proceedings. Actually, I became a university lecturer by chance, but being asked to teach this discipline at the Prague University of Economics and Business, I was happy to accept the challenge. I enjoy interaction with the audience, so thanks to that, 14 times a year I get up a bit earlier and, at 7.30 a.m., I try to attract the attention of the students, who have just woken up, in a field as unexciting as the procedural law. I hope that I’m being successful there – although my lectures are not mandatory, I get dozens of voluntary attendees every year.
