Updates:

  • British Columbia - Maximum allowable rent increase: The BC government announced that the province’s maximum allowable rent increase will be capped at 1.5% for 2022. Any rent increase cannot be effective before January 1, 2022 (rents are frozen until December 31, 2021); and landlords must provide three months’ notice to tenants of any rent increase.
