Sophie Cartier

Eastern Canada CPA Campus Talent Acquisition Manager, PwC Canada

At the beginning of my career, while I was a CPA student, the PwC global network and brand attracted me. However, the final decision to join was ultimately made based on the people I met during my recruitment process. I felt the people I met were authentic and inspiring. After five years in the assurance group at PwC Canada, I decided to take on a new opportunity in the financial services industry.

I decided to come back to PwC Canada as a member of the campus talent acquisition team, which was the perfect opportunity for me. This role brings together my professional experience as a CPA, the human resources graduate program I’m currently pursuing, and my passion for people. I seized the opportunity to return to this dynamic and collaborative environment because I wanted to fulfill my potential and take on stimulating challenges. Furthermore, I knew that PwC’s flexibility programs would enable me to be both an ambitious professional and a dedicated mom for my daughter. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to meet students and to build PwC’s crew of tomorrow.

Since I joined the firm in 2009, I’ve had the chance to work in three different lines of services: Assurance, Tax and Human Capital (Internal Firm Services). All of these experiences have given me different skills and tools that have made me the professional I am today. Furthermore, my years in Assurance allowed me to travel a lot and develop a strong and varied professional network. In some cases, team members became good friends of mine and our experiences at PwC have provided great memories!
