Mikaela Bocking

Calgary, Saskatoon and Winnipeg CPA Campus Talent Acquisition Specialist, PwC Canada

As a recent graduate, I was in the shoes of a student a short time ago. I was fortunate to then start my career with PwC’s management consulting team. While in this position, I had the opportunity to complete a campus talent acquisition secondment, and it was here that I discovered my passion for campus recruiting! I’m excited to transition into a full-time role to continue to engage with talented students and share my love of PwC!

More about Mikaela

What is your personal brand?

Authenticity and relatability are the key components of my personal brand. I believe that through being honest about your own experiences (especially if they are embarrassing, quirky, or a perceived setback), you’re able to form meaningful relationships in which both parties are authentic and even vulnerable at times. Basically, “you do you!”

What unique opportunities have you had with PwC?

I started my career in management consulting at PwC and had the chance to work on multiple projects focused on the Human Capital aspects of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations. PwC also offered me the amazing opportunity to complete a campus talent acquisition secondment that exposed me to other areas of the business!

What are your hobbies and interests?

Travel and charity are two of my passions, and I have volunteered in multiple countries across South America, Africa, and Asia. When I’m not travelling, I’m either at a metal concert or at home with my two cats watching The Office for the 100th time! I also love to cook and bake in excessive quantities, making going to the gym both a hobby and a necessity!
