Daniel Fortin is a Tax Services partner in the Montréal office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Private Company Services practice.
Daniel specializes in mergers and acquisitions. He is involved in all tax aspects of the due diligence process, including without-limitation planning, coordination and negotiation, purchaser structuring and post-deal integration. Daniel is also involved in activities on the vendor side, with the objective of optimizing the vendor’s financial position and in helping private companies resolve tax issues.
Daniel joined the firm in 1990. During his first five years, he worked in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services group, moving to Tax Services in 1995. After graduating from the Université du Québec à Montréal with a BA (Applied Accounting), Daniel received a CA designation in 1992 from the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec.
Daniel is a member of the Urban Development Institute of Quebec, the Fiscal and Financial Planning Association and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
