Beth Webel is a Tax Services partner in the Oakville office of PwC Canada. She is a High Net Worth Tax Services partner, with the national responsibility for the Canada/US cross-border estate planning practice.
Beth specializes in tax planning related to estates and trusts, family business succession planning strategies, charitable giving strategies, US estate tax, cross-border trust planning and rules surrounding marriage breakdown.
Beth received her BCom and MBA from McMaster University in Hamilton. Also a CA, Beth joined PwC’s Assurance Services in 1990. She was admitted to the partnership in 2003.
Beth is the author of Charitable Giving Guide for Individual Donors and Tax Rules for Family Law Practitioners. She also authored The Globe and Mail article RCA’s Can Boost Entrepreneurs’ Borrowing Power, Retirement Funds (2000) and monitor article U.S. Estate Tax Exposure for Canadians (2002).
Beth has presented to the AmCham Tax Discussion Forum (2004), Toronto Estate Planning Council (2003), Joseph Brant Donor Seminar (2002), Hamilton Law Association (2002) and Faskin Martineau DuMoulin (2001).
She is a member of various industry-related organizations, including the Canadian chapter of the Society of Trust and Estate Planners, Hamilton Chapter of Estate Planners and AmCham Canada.
In her community, Beth chairs the leadership committee of the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton.
