Angola - Private Investment Regulation

Presidential Decree nr. 182/15, dated 30 September, which approves the Regulations for the Proceedings on Private Investment (“Regulations”), and Presidential Decree nr. 181/15, dated 30 September, which approves the Master Guidelines on the Nacional Policies for Private Investment, have been published.

These Laws define an extensive set of principles regarding the protection of investment and the role of economic agents.

The Regulation will apply to:

• All the investments approved under the new Private Investment Law, approved by Law nr. 14/15, August 11 (“PIL”);
• Projects initiated and approved under the former regime, upon request and provided that the new rules are more beneficial.
