Have fun!

The following are just two of many examples that at PricewaterhouseCoopers it’s not all work and no play.

Social clubs
Each department has its own social club, each with an appointed social committee to manage the staff’s contributions and the club’s finances. Social club committees arrange social functions throughout the year for that particular department. Each staff member who joins the social club pays an agreed-upon monthly fee. These social clubs are seen as an opportunity for teambuilding and getting to know your colleagues.

The social clubs arrange many exciting activities such as river rafting, group weekends, day trips, paintball, ten-pin bowling, go-cart racing, wine and whiskey tasting lunches and dinners, and many more.

Sports day
Annually, sports days take place at the various offices around South Africa. On this day, everyone in the office gets together and participates in sporting activities. Each department chooses a sport in which they participate and compete against the opposing departments.

After a morning of sporting fun, staff are provided with lunch in a marquee, followed by dancing. And that’s when the festivities begin! This annual event is truly a great experience, enjoyed by all levels of staff. It is a great opportunity to interact and mingle with one another.

The South African firm is also involved in many annual national sporting events such as the Cape Argus Cycle Challenge, the 94.7 Cycle Challenge, the Jarvis Kaplan Squash Tournament and the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge, where the firm has hospitality marquees for all staff participants and their families.
